Melissa walked into the bedroom. She sat down on the edge of the bed. "Scott, sweetheart, wake up." she said, shaking him gently.

Scott whimpered softly as he woke up, stareing at his mother.

Michael frowned softly, he was worried.

Melissa gently took one of Scott's ears between her fingers, rubbing it gently. "You sure baby?" Melissa asked. "You were having a nightmare."

Scott relaxed slightly as she rubbed his ear "I ....." he stopped nervously.

Melissa had a feeling she knew what he was trying to say. "He abused you?" Melissa asked gently. "Because of what you are?"

Scott nodded "He said i was a freak, my adoptive mom she tried to protect me but he would beat her and then he'd beat me. He beat her so bad one night he killed her, he said it was my fault. He started to drink worse then he did before and then he........" Scott stopped as tears fell, he couldn't continue he couldn't tell them what he did to him.

Melissa sighed sadly and pulled Scott into her arms, rubbing his back. "It's okay honey, it's over now you're safe here."

Michael growled softly, he was going to kill that man for hurting his son.

Melissa continued to gently rub his ear, her other hand moving to his tail trying to calm him down. Samantha looked up. "Daddy, what's wrong?"
